This is how a lot of people came to recognize the coexist bumper sticker meaning as something they
wanted to explore, and how sightings of the coexist bumper sticker increased so rapidly in many instances. Perhaps even more meaningful is the way many people use their coexist bumper sticker as a calm but public way to express the need for religious tolerance.
Taking a closer look at the individual characters that make up this word may help you decide if this is what you are ready to express, and how you truly feel about tolerance and acceptance.
Coexist Bumper Sticker Meaning:
The letter C may remind people of the Islamic crescent moon and star symbolism, but this symbol has been used by many groups for thousands of years. This sort of understanding may be the first step in understanding the coexist bumper sticker meaning and explaining it to those who may question your views by displaying such word on your car, clothing, or coffee mug, for example. You may feel more comfortable with the word as well, knowing that you are not singling out any one religion by wearing or displaying this word.
For some people, the letter O is the most powerful aspect of the coexist bumper sticker, as it signifies peace and being peaceful in so many instances where temper can get the best of people. From small issues to major ones involving potential harm and warfare, this peaceful symbol has sparked a range of emotions for decades. The notion of being peaceful and living peacefully is just the sort of expression that many people appreciate, and this often includes actions regarding religion, race, and sexual orientation as well.
Equality is an ongoing debate, and there is scarcely any part of the world that is not dealing with this often emotional issue. The letter E, being a mix of the female and male symbols, may be interpreted in many ways. Beyond promoting equal rights for women and men, this may also include the rights of children and adults who may not fit the traditional description of male or female. This deeper meaning may be especially powerful if you are at least open to discussion and understanding about lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender issues.
Many people recognize the letter X as an ancient symbol relating to the Star of David, and this may underscore how Judaism has been viewed over the centuries. This symbol may also promote inclusiveness, similar to the next letter I which has a relatively pagan reference. While it does have a pagan reference most people do associate this symbol with the star of David.
The letter I is dotted on top with symbols representing water, fire, earth, air, and the human spirit. This reference to earth and its connection to life makes the coexist bumper sticker powerful as well. This letter represents the elements of mother earth recognized in many pagan religions throughout history. This letter also represents what some would view as the “universe” or the elements from a super-conscious view.
The symbolism in the letter S is drawn from the yin and yang Chinese symbols, and these are widely known to represent the equal but opposing forces of nature. Light, dark, male, and female are all represented here, with the yin aspect typically referring to womanhood and darkness, and the yang aspect representing masculinity in general. The idea that everyone possesses male and female, light and dark, and in essence positive as well as negative traits resonates with many people. This is also an idea that is central to a belief in second chances, tolerance, and redemption.
The cross shape of the letter T evokes images of Jesus Christ, from his birth, trials, judgment, crucifixion, and rebirth. This draws many people to explore the coexist bumper sticker meaning and how it relates to their way of thinking. As the idea of loving one another is central to so many people and religions of the world, it is not surprising that Atheists, Buddhists, Jews, Christians, and Muslims would use a coexist bumper sticker to promote harmony and peace throughout the world.
Some people are content to simply join in on what seems to be popular, but others prefer to genuinely understand the meaning behind outward displays of what may be personal beliefs. Displaying a coexist bumper sticker may result in responses ranging from a slight glance, a lasting look, to an outright inquiry regarding what you truly believe in.

You may even see the good that may result from a less than positive inquiry if you are confident in why this unique design represents your feelings toward others.
While human history may be full of grand examples of how to promote peace and tolerance, many people may not feel that they can make any sort of meaningful impact on their own. A busy lifestyle, limited resources, or other issues, however, do not have to mean not being able to make a real and positive difference. The coexist bumper sticker, as it sums up how anyone may contribute to making the world a better place, may be the perfect reminder for everyone who sees it.

Interesting point made about the “I” symbol. I had no idea this concept was included in the coexist symbols. Those symbols (earth, air, fire & water) are heavily represented in earthy belief systems like Wicca. Glad to know this was included to really make it all inclusive!
This is very interesting, You are a very professional blogger. I’ve joined your feed and look ahead to in quest of extra of your wonderful post. Additionally, I have shared your site in my social networks
I bloody hate this sticker it is so pretentious.
And usually the people who use them are left wing socialist middle class idiots. The sort of person who is not living n the real world but in a world of ideas and articles. They choose to express themselves in the form of a bumper sticker declaring their love for everyone when it is obvious to the rest of us that not everyone is deserving of our respect or appreciation.
The brother of my son’s best friend was almost killed in the world trade center bombings. And everyone knows who was responsible for that. There is a certain religion which controls things from behind the scenes. From world economies to major acts of terrorism. They like to use more backwards, less educated people and they like to manipulate them to get them to do atrocious acts such as 9/11 in the name of other religions. The perfect scapegoats.
Why should we ‘coexist’ with people like this, people who think they are above us, better than us, people who think that we are no more than pawns in their evil games. They do not co exist with us out of their choice. To suggest we should co exist with them is a bit like bending over to make it easier for them to kick us in the head.
Sorry I will not be buying a coexist bumper sticker from you, unless you have a ‘No Exist’.
Wow Mr Had Enough, that is a pretty weird comment you have posted there. Who is behind the scenes? Who is controlling world economies and acts of terrorism? I can’t work out if you are talking about Muslims or Jews. But either way that is pretty backwards point of view. Basically people like you are the reason this sticker has to exist. What a shame. I wish i knew your address and I would sticker the entire outside of your house until you got the message.
We need to live together, we need to understand each other more, we need to co-exist.
Not only will this prevent future acts of extreme violence but it will make the world a better more caring place.
I am going to get a sticker and put it on my car with pride. To show the world I am not bigoted idiot. I suggest if you are reading this “Had Enough” then you should turn off Fox news and go outside and talk to some real people of which this sticker is representing and see what it feels like to a Muslim in America or a Gay person living in the closet. The you might have a better understanding of what it is like to be something other than a white male in middle America.
More liberal BS.
In reply to “White Christian and Proud” Grow up you fascist bigot and to the creators of this sticker, please include something about racism. We have to deal with a lot of crap everyday and like that idiot above it would be nice if people were encouraged to co exist with us.
@KevinWo
I didnt know that the ‘i’ was for the pagans either. It’s a bit weird to include a harry potter cult of witches and wizards on here. how many pagans are there in the world? Probably not that many so it just seems a bit weird to include it in there. And the Gay/Lesbian symbol…. why put that on there. If you are going to include them why not include something to represent anti racism? Maybe the black power fist instead of the pagan ‘i’ that would make more sense as there a thousands more black people who are the subject of racist abuse than there are pagans and homosexuals put together.
Maybe the person that designed this is indeed racist! Ha that was just a joke , but it does seem strange there is nothing to recognize ethnic minorities.
I love love love this sticker, the design and the message. Its great. I do not understand how anything that is promoting tolerance and better understanding can be considered a controversial topic but then hey I guess I am just a pretty easy going type of gal. I am fortunate enough not to be small minded enough to hate on any type of person for their culture, sexuality or religion.
What a shame that some people do. I would order a sticker but I don’t have an amazon account… I know I know I could make one, but I just couldn’t be bothered at the moment. But as soon as I do I will be back here to get one.
Its sooo cool a real throwback to the sixties. And we need some of that pure love and hope to get us through these current hard times.
Once I have my sticker all I would need then is my 1970′s VW Campervan to stick it on!
Love and Light

The “COEXIST” sticker suggests a unifying message. However, the greatest unifying message that Americans can relate to at this time in our nation’s history is the preservation of Liberty to citizens of the United States. Every rape in Oslo last year was by the muslim and black enrichers their Marxist government welcomed to their country. Maybe you should send some of the stickers to those women who were raped.
History tells us that the only way different ethnicities can live together is when they have clearly defined borders. Small numbers of minorities can live peacefully in host countries. Once they reach certain percentages conflict is a certainty. Liberal fantacists make a career out of ignoring the facts and focusing on unatainable ideals. These same liberals have set all European majority countries on a path to inevitable civil war. Plastering one of those stickers on your car will just help in identifying you when the patriots come for you.
